Loch Lomond

Ein Soldat der wärend des Jakobiteraufstand 1745 für Bonnie Prince Charlie in Gefangenschaft geriet, sehnt sich zurück zu seiner schottischen Heimat und seiner Geliebten. Loch Lomond ist der größte See Schottlands und steht wohl stellvertretend für das ganze Land. Der Soldat rechnet auf dem Seeweg schneller zurück in die Heimat gebracht zu werden, als seine Kameraden auf dem Landweg, doch rechnet er auch mit seiner Hinrichtung und dass er nur im Sarg zurück transportiert wird.

Dieses Lied lässt sich sowohl mit einfachen Schlagmustern als auch mit Zupfmustern (beispielsweise pimamipi) begleitet.

Innerhalb des Liedes gibt es die Akkordfolge C Am F G, die sich sehr gut für einen Basslauf eignet.
